About

I have reached a point in my life where I have become aware that I need to make changes in my life.  They say we all have a story to tell.  I feel I have something to share that perhaps others can relate to. I need to identify the changes I have to make and work towards making those changes a part of my life. In writing a personal blog I hope to see progress as I make changes in my life.

I have lived in New Hampshire my entire life.  Although I visited many family attractions when I was child and later with my own children when they were young, I have only recently begun to explore the hiking trails and lakes and rivers of New Hampshire. I am in my 50's and have been inactive for many years so I am overweight and very out of shape.. I spend a great deal of time researching trails on-line before heading out to avoid trails that are too difficult.  I have been very disappointed by how difficult some trails maps are to read,  how poorly some trails are marked, and how inaccurate the difficulty ratings and reviews are of some trails. I read that one particular hike is easy to moderate, when in fact it was very difficult for me.  I hope to post clear and accurate descriptions of trails for other older novice hikers who may be out of shape but desire to explore New Hampshire hiking trails.

I also plan to share photos, art and stories and things that inspire me from everyday life and the natural beauty of New Hampshire.
